On behalf of an asset & wealth management company with remarkable track record and longstanding reputation in advising and managing assets for HNWI/UHNWI/Institutional clients, Aegis is looking for a:

Fund Selection Senior Director – Liquid Assets

 Main Responsibilities:

  •  Project management of ad hoc investment opportunities with sophisticated institutional clients, family offices, High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI)
  • Leads the establishment of a network of, and collaboration with, niche asset Managers, with a specific focus on Liquid/Liquid Alternatives.
  •  Oversight of the monitoring and selection of investments, used quantitative & qualitative analysis across all asset classes: due diligence, performance/risk attribution, narrow peer group comparison, stress tests.
  • Idea generation: provides investment ideas to the IC that are appropriate with market environments, including long-term allocation as well as short-term tactical plays, and looks for potential Partnerships with external Managers in an effort to grow the company’s Funds Business.
  • Market research: contributed to the company’s overall market awareness through proprietary Market /Macro research and/or selected research from external parties.
  • Develops a clear proposition for the clients, seeking to succeed by offering differentiation and added value through the full capability of the bank;
  • Develops strategy for business books, consistently with the view of the house, and deploys strategy through disciplined asset allocation to portfolios, with the goal to help bankers managing clients with appropriate solutions;
  • Influences the audience, and generate revenues on the books, in a compliant, scalable and efficient way, through proactive support to bankers, anticipating needs;
  • Supports the bankers in Net New Asset generation process;
  • Maintains relationship with advisory companies, in order to optmize the scouting and selection process of new fund opportunities abroad
  • Ownership of fund selection process (from initiating to closing).

As a plus, the ideal Candidate can also take responsibility on setting up and manage FoF strategies based on the selection process he/she will lead.

Candidate requirements:

  • University Degree in Economics, or Finance (CFA or CAIA would represent a plus);
  • At least 10 years of experience in similar position, either as Fund Selector, multi-asset class Discretionary Portfolio Manager,  or Fund Manager. Ideally, the candidate worked as a Discretionary Portfolio Manager and/or Investment Manager in one leading international financial institution;
  • Emotional intelligence: bring sense of urgency, be a team player, create trust;
  • In his/her comfort zone in dealing with both Clients and Senior Bankers;
  • Ability to work in a challenging, dynamic and solutions-oriented environment with international reach;
  • Result oriented mind-set, focused on execution, get it done approach;
  • Fluent in English & Italian, written and spoken.
